Máxima largura de banda é conseguida com todos os slots de DIMMs preenchidos com a máxima quantidade de riser cars de memória. Nota – para aplicações comerciais em servidores com níveis de utilização típica, a performance incremental ganhou pelo número máximo de DIMMs. Um subconjunto diz que 50% de DIMMs tem a utilização muito modesta. Note que partindo de 2 DIMMs à 4 DIMMs duplica-se a largura de banda. Geralmente é recomendado pelo menos 4 DIMMs (2 features e 1 quad) para cada riser, a menos que seja bem pouca carga. It is derived from an IBM analytical model which uses characteristics from IBM internal workloads, TPC and SPEC benchmarks. The rPerf model is not intended to represent any specific public benchmark results and should not be reasonably used in that way. The model simulates some of the system operations such as CPU, cache and memory.
