13 ABSTRACT We used the Arap hypospadia repair in 31 patients wit distal hipospadia with considerablesuccess, achieving an excellent result in 93 per cent of of our patients. Improved cosmesis, extension of the scope of the problems that can be addressed wit this reapair (including treatment of a distal urethrocutaneous fistula) and the ease with which the arap procedure can be perfomed are the advantages that this operation has over other 1-stage distal hypospadias repairs.
