3 Opera-se, na Terra, neste largo período, a grande transição anunciada pelas Escrituras e confirmada pelo Espiritismo. It is happening on Earth, in this long period, the great transition announced by the Scriptures and confirmed by Spiritism.

4 O planeta sofrido experimenta convulsões especiais, tanto na sua estrutura física e atmosférica, ajustando as suas diversas camadas tectônicas, quanto na sua constituição moral. The vicarious planet suffers special convulsions, both in its physical and atmospheric structures, adjusting its different tectonic layers, as well as its moral constitution.

5 Isto porque, os espíritos que o habitam, ainda caminhando em faixas de inferioridade, estão sendo substituídos por outros mais elevados que o impulsionarão pelas trilhas do progresso moral, dando lugar a uma era nova de paz e de felicidade. This is because the spirits that inhabit Earth, still walking on pathways of inferiority, are being replaced by others, more elevated, that will boost it through the trails of moral progress, giving rise to a new era of peace and hapiness.

On the other hand, those who remained in the lower regions are brought to reincarnation in order to seize the opportunity to work and learn, modifying the unfortunate habits they have submitted to, and may then proceed under the governance of God.

8 Caso se oponham às exigências da evolução, também sofrerão um tipo de expurgo temporário para regiões primárias entre as raças atrasadas, tendo o ensejo de ser úteis e de sofrer os efeitos danosos da sua rebeldia. If they are against the demands of evolution, they will also suffer a kind of temporary purge to primary regions amongst the backward races, having the opportunity to be helpful and to suffer the harmful effects of their rebellion.

Likewise, missionaires of love and charity, coming from other Spheres will be wearing the clothing of flesh, to turn milder this phase of illuminative struggle, providing dignified conditions, that encourage the advancement and happiness.

11 Não serão apenas os cataclismos físicos que sacudirão o planeta, como resultado da lei de destruição, geradora desses fenômenos, como ocorre com o outono que derruba a folhagem das árvores, a fim de que possam enfrentar a invernia rigorosa, renascendo exuberantes com a chegada da primavera, mas também os de natureza moral, social e humana que assinalarão os dias tormentosos, que já se vivem. Madness, due to the individual΄s materialism, throws them into the abyss of violence and folly, widening the field of despair which extends in all directions.

14 Esfacelam-se os lares, desorganizam- se os relacionamentos afetivos, desestruturam-se as instituições, as oficinas de trabalho convertem-se em áreas de competição desleal, as ruas do mundo transformam-se em campos de lutas perversas, levando de roldão os sentimentos de solidariedade e de respeito, de amor e de caridade... Families are torn apart, affective relationships are disrupted, institutions are unstructured, work environments are converted into areas of unfair competition, the streets of the world are transformed into fields to evil fighting, destroying the feelings of solidarity and respect, love and charity...

19 A rebeldia que predomina no comportamento humano elegeu a violência como instrumento para conseguir o prazer que lhe não chega da maneira espontânea, gerando lamentáveis consequências, que se avolumam em desaires contínuos. The rebelliousness that prevails in human behaviour has chosen violence as a tool to achieve pleasure that does not come spontenaeously, generating unfortunate consequences, that are mounted into continuous misfortunes.

20 É inevitável a colheita da sementeira por aquele que a fez, tornando-se rico de grãos abençoados ou de espículos venenosos. It is inevitable the harvest of the sowing for the one who has made it, becoming rich of blessed grains or of poisonous spikes.

21 Como as leis da vida não podem ser derrogadas, toda objeção que se lhes faz converte-se em aflição, impedindo a conquista do bem-estar. As the laws of life can not be waived, any objection to them is converted into distress, preventing the achievement of well-being.

22 Da mesma forma, como o progresso é inevitável, o que não seja conquistado através do dever, sê-lo-á pelos impositivos estruturais de que o mesmo se constitui. The best way, therefore, to consciously share the great transition is through the conscience of personal responsibility, making the inner changes that are essential for the harmony of the whole.

24 Nenhuma conquista exterior será lograda se não proceder das paisagens íntimas, nas quais estão instalados os hábitos. Esses, de natureza perniciosa, devem ser substituídos por aqueles que são saudáveis, portanto, propiciatórios de bem-estar e de harmonia emocional. No external conquest will be achieved if it does not proceed from the intimate landscape, in which the habits are installed. These, of a pernicious nature, must be replaced by those that are healthy, therefore, generators of well-being and emotional harmony.

27 O indivíduo, que se renova moralmente, contribui de forma segura para as alterações que se vêm operando no planeta. The individual that is morally renewed, safely contributes to the changes that are operating in the planet.

28 Não é necessário que o turbilhão dos sofrimentos gerais o sensibilize, a fim de que possa contribuir eficazmente com os espíritos que operam em favor da grande transição. It is not necessary that the whirlwind of general suffering sensitizes you in order to effectively help the spirits that operate in favour of the great transition.

29 Dispondo das ferramentas morais do enobrecimento, torna-se cooperador eficiente, em razão de trabalhar junto ao seu próximo pela mudança de convicção em torno dos objetivos existenciais, ao tempo em que se transforma num exemplo de alegria e de felicidade para todos. 31 São eles que proporcionam o maior contágio de que se tem notícia e não as manifestações aberrantes e afligentes que parecem arrastar as multidões. It is them that provide the greatest contagion ever known and not the aberrant and afligent manifestations that seem to drag the crowds.

32 Como escasseiam os exemplos de júbilo, multiplicam-se os de desespero, logo ultrapassados pelos programas de sensibilização emocional para a plenitude. 33 A grande transição prossegue, e porque se faz necessária, a única alternativa é examinar-lhe a maneira como se apresenta e cooperar para que as sombras que se adensam no mundo sejam diminuídas pelo Sol da imortalidade. The great transition proceeds, and because it is necessary, the only alternative is to examine how it presents itself and cooperate so that the ever growing shadows in the world are diminished by the sun of immortality.

34 Nenhum receio deve ser cultivado, porque, mesmo que ocorra a morte, esse fenômeno natural é veículo da vida que se manifestará em outra dimensão. No fear must be cultivated, because even if death occurs, this natural phenomenon is a vehicle o life which will be manifested in another dimension.

Whilst evil is strong, in the world, the human being becomes its favourite victim, in face of the selfishness that hurts, just for the special election.

38 A dor momentânea que o fere, convida-o, por outro lado, à observância das necessidades imperiosas de seguir a correnteza do amor no rumo do oceano da paz. The momentary pain that hurts you, on the other hand, invites you to fulfill the urgent necessities of following the flow of love towards the ocean of peace.

39 Logo passado o período de aflição, chegará o da harmonia. Once the period of distress has passed, there will be harmony.
