OVERVIEW HEADER The MIT Portugal Program creates unique and significant research opportunities for MIT and Portuguese institutions to jointly advance the field of study in engineering systems and develop new knowledge that can have global impact. Through innovative research and educational programs, this unique partnership was designed to address some of today’s greatest technical, economic, and social challenges in four key areas: transportation, bioengineering, sustainable energy, and engineering design and advanced manufacturing.
