Usado para indicar uma ação que se iniciou no passado e vem acontecendo até o presente: He has been watching TV all day long. Usado para indicar uma ação que esteve em andamento em um passado recente e tem resultado ou consequência no presente: They have been working hard and now they need to rest.

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS As expressões de tempo que geralmente acompanham o Present Perfect Continuous são: For, since, all..., lately, recently. She has been studying for months. They have been trying to have a baby since their anniversary. Many Chinese have been visiting Brazil recently.

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS Forma-se o Present Perfect Continuous com o verbo auxiliar have/has + been + verbo principal no –ing: He has been talking for over two hours! Have you been eating my Easter egg??!!

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS No Present Perfect Continuous, o verbo auxiliar será have/has nas sentenças afirmativas e interrogativas e haven’t/hasn’t nas negativas: Has anybody been smoking here? I haven’t been studying all my life for nothing. I must pass the vestibular!
