Simple Present – Simple Past

2 Verb –> Verbo: Verbo – descreve o que algo ou alguém fez ou o que acontece: 1. ação: run, travel, hit (correr, viajar, bater) 2. evento: rain, occur (chover, ocorrer) 3. situação: be, seem, have (ser/estar, parecer, ter) 4. mudança: become, grow, develop (tornar-se, crescer, desenvolver) Formas básicas: 1. base form – be, work (ser/estar, trabalhar) 2. -ing form – being, working (sendo/estando, trabalhando) 3. past tense – was/were, worked (era/estou, trabalhou) 4. past participle – been, worked (sido/estado, trabalhado)

Simple Present – Presente Simples Simple Past – Passado Simples Função ou Uso 1. Indicar um fato ou uma verdade universal: Ex: nacionalidade -> I am Brazilian (Eu sou brasileiro/a) 2. Descrever ou dar características: Ex: altura -> You are tall (Você é alto/a) 3. Rotinas ou hábitos: Ex: almoço -> She always have lunch at (Ela sempre almoça às 13:30) Função ou Uso 1. Indicar uma ação que occoreu uma vez no passado: Ex: John Cabot sailed to America in (John C navegou para a América em 1498) 2. Algo que se repetia no passado: Ex: We swan a lot while we were on holiday. (Nós nadamos muito no feriado.) 3. Rotinas ou hábitos: Ex: exercícios -> They used to play tennis. (Eles costumavam jogar tênis)
