2 Cardinal Numbers Não se esqueça que em Inglês os milhares são divididos por "," não por ".", como estamos acostumados aqui no Brasil. Seguindo a mesma lógica os decimais em inglês também são invertidos, usa-se ".". Ex.: 1,234 R$ 2.50

4 De onde vem o termo TEEN em Inglês?
No dicionário, teen é a abreviação de teenager (adolescente). Mas você sabe identificar de qual idade até qual idade? Se não, vamos contar de 10 até 20. 10 - Ten 11 - Eleven 12 - Twelve 13 - Thirteen 14 - Fourteen 15 - Fifteen 16 - Sixteen 17 - Seventeen 18 - Eighteen 19 - Nineteen 20 – Twenty Percebeu? São chamados de teens jovens com idade entre 13 e 19 anos. Um “adolescente” de 12 anos não é teen.

a. Number one: O melhor, mais importante. Ex: He’s still the number one. (Ele ainda é o número um.) b. A thing or two: Algumas coisas. Ex: I already knew a thing or two about the language. (Eu já sabia algumas coisas sobre o idioma.) c. The three Rs: Áreas básicas do ensino. (Reading, writing, and mathematics.) Ex: They know the three Rs. (Eles sabem as coisas básicas da escola.)

d. The four corners of the world: Os quatro cantos do mundo. Ex: There are tourists from the four corners of the world. (Tem turistas dos quatro cantos do mundo.) e. Not last five minutes: Não durar cinco minutos. Ex: You won’t last five minutes in your job if you act like that. (Você não vai durar cinco minutos no seu emprego se agir assim.)

f. Six digits/figures: Entre cem mil e uma milhão. Ex: They offered a six figures amount. (Eles ofereceram uma quantia em torno de um milhão.) g. Seven year itch: Crise dos sete anos de casamento. Ex: It must be the seven-year itch, try and talk to her about what happened. (Deve ser a crise dos sete anos, tenta falar com ela sobre o que aconteceu.)
