Faze quanto te seja possível, sem aguardar aplauso, nem temer pedradas. Do as much as possible, without waiting for applause, nor fearing stones.
Torna-te membro do grupo que opera e fala com o objetivo superior de ser útil. Become a member of the group that operates and speaks with the superior objective of being useful.
Se, os que dizem saber como se fazem as coisas, deixassem de opinar e as executassem, o mundo mudaria de feição. If those who say they know how to do things, refrained from giving their opinion and implemented these, the face of the world would change.
Refreia os impulsos, que procedem dos instintos desgovernados, e age sob o comando da razão. Restrain the impulses that come from the misguided instincts, and act under the command of reason.
É verdade que o sentimento bom deve derreter o gelo da lógica racional, no entanto, muitas vezes a frieza da emoção ou a sua loucura agressiva necessitam da vigilância do raciocínio. It is true that the good feelings should melt the rational logic, however, often the emotional coldness or its aggressive madness need the surveillance of reasoning.
