ENERGIA LIMPA: OPORTUNIDADES E DESAFIOS PARA O BRASIL é um seminário, organizado pela Thomson Reuters Foundation, que pretende debater o futuro da exploração de fontes renováveis de energia no Brasil. O evento será realizado no dia 1º de junho de 2012, no auditório da Coppe, no Rio de Janeiro. CLEAN ENERGY: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES FOR BRAZIL is a conference promoted by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, that intends to discuss the future of renewable energy sources’ exploration in Brazil. It is scheduled for the 1st June 2012, at the Coppe auditorium, in Rio de Janeiro.

3 2. 1 Objetivo / Goal O evento pretende debater os caminhos que o Brasil deve seguir para continuar sendo o líder mundial no setor de energia limpa, ampliando a exploração de fontes renováveis, investindo em novas tecnologias, garantindo competitividade para o ramo, suprindo a demanda cada vez maior e reduzindo ao máximo os impactos socioambientais do setor energético. The event intends to discuss the steps Brazil should follow in order to keep and increase its leading position in clean energy, including by expanding the exploration of renewable sources, investing in new technologies, finding ways to supply new demand and reducing to a minimum the social and environmental impacts of the energy business.
