A tag question serve para confirmar o que estamos dizendo. Ela aparece no final da frase, em forma de pergunta: You’re going home, aren’t you? Yes, I am.

3 Your sister has a cat, doesn’t she?
Se a frase principal estiver na afirmativa, use a tag question na negativa e vice-versa. Your sister has a cat, doesn’t she? Yes, she does.

4 Your cat is called Johnny, isn’t it?
Para formar uma tag question, use o auxiliar do verbo da frase principal e mantenha o mesmo tempo verbal. Your cat is called Johnny, isn’t it? No, it’s called Billy.

5 You haven’t started that,

Podemos mudar o significado da tag question mudando a entonação. Entonação decrescente: pergunta retórica, não requer uma resposta. We are the best, aren’t we?
