To increase the volume reduce the intensity of the fundamental and the 8 th harmonic but increase the intensity of the 5th, 6th, 10th and 12th harmonics; 3. To increase the contact area diminish the frequency of the harmonics; 4. To increase the hardness of the reed increase the frequency of the harmonics.
