1 “Discovering the theme”

2 Descrição O professor passará um saco ou caixa com figuras/ objetos sobre o tema abordado e cada aluno pegará uma figura/ objeto e falará o nome. O professor irá escrever cada palavra no quadro, e depois que todos falarem, os alunos tentarão descobrir o tema do texto.

3 Na atividade proposta o tema é sobre Michael Jackson, logo dentro da caixa o professor poderia colocar figuras de: um nariz, uma boca, Peter Pan (que remete a “Neverland”), caixão, crianças, peruca. Os alunos ao pegarem cada gravura tentarão dizer em inglês o nome das gravuras e depois tentarão descobrir sobre que tema será o texto que irá ser discutido. O professor pedirá aos alunos para sentarem em duplas, e entregará o texto dividido em partes. Os alunos deverão colocar o texto em ordem.

6 4 – Técnicas de ensino: Entregar aos alunos gravuras para que eles digam o nome delas em inglês. (13 min. Interação: Aluno - Professor) Pedir para que os alunos de acordo com as gravuras tentem adivinhar sobre que tema iremos estudar. (2 min)

7 Entregar o texto dividido em oito partes
Entregar o texto dividido em oito partes. Eles em duplas, deverão colocar em ordem. (10 min. Interação: Aluno- Aluno) Pedir voluntários para ler o texto. (10 min) Fazer perguntas de compreensão do texto. Estas perguntas podem ser feitas de forma oral (daí o enfoque no speaking), ou escritas para enfatizar o writing.

11 Texto: Michael Jackson - Surgery History
Michael Jackson, the world-famous singer and music icon, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, after being admitted into UCLA Medical Center for cardiac arrest. Jackson is well known for having a complicated and dramatic past, including undergoing multiple bouts of cosmetic surgery throughout his long and tumultous career. Jackson first underwent plastic surgery in 1984 at age 26, slightly narrowing his nose while becoming famous for his hit song "Thriller". The next year in 1985, Jackson obtained a second nose job and permanent eyeliner tattoos around his eyes. At this point Jackson was still at the peak of his career, with an entourage of staff taking care of all needs while he continued performing, entertaining, and donating to charities. He was given the Heritage Award and praised by Queen Liz, President Reagan and others. Mike was everywhere, giving as much as he got and letting us all know how blessed he was. There was no one who wasn't impressed and didn't sprain an ankle trying to imitate his "Moon Walk" in their living room.

12 In 1987, Jackson changed his appearance considerably at age 29, eliciting more public outcry and media attention than his previous surgeries. The singer underwent nose surgery for the third time, and emerged with noticeably more prominent cheekbones and suddenly pale skin. Speculation suggested Jackson had contracted the medical condition vitiligo, which causes people of colour to lose pigment in their skin, though Jackson neither confirms nor denies this. By 1991, Jackson has become almost unrecognizable from his former physical self, with still lighter skin, sculpted eyebrows, a new chin cleft, and lowered, more squared jawline. His nose is further thinned and pointed with a sharpened ridge and narrowed nostrils. Jackson appears with a chin implant in 1997, with the skin on his face having become taut and angled, and with various other modifications made. Two years later, Jackson has a new nose as well as a new chin, with smoothened cheeks and a smaller jaw. In 2000, the singer began sporting a goatee on a longer jaw, with eyes pulled tighter on his face. The next year, Jackson, 42 years old, is said to have a prosthetic nose tip on the end of an enlarged nose. In 2002, Jackson's nasal passages are widened and his nose bridge is modified. Michael Jackson surgery makes the papers one final time in The singer received a new nose made out of part of his ear, through the efforts of Dr. Werner Mang, a German plastic surgeon.

13 Conclusão A maioria das aulas de inglês se dão ainda de forma tradicionais, em que o professor busca passar aos seus alunos todas as regras gramaticais, os pronomes, listas de verbos com suas respectivas conjugações. Mas que diversas listas, o professor deve estar disposto a apresentar a seus alunos uma gramática contextualizada, de forma que eles possam aprender naturalmente.

14 Trabalhar com o texto em sala de aula se torna uma tarefa árdua quando o professor se propõe apenas a traduzi-lo. No entanto existe diversas formas de trabalhar e explorar o texto em sala de aula com os alunos, de forma que eles participem e se sintam interessados no processo de aprendizagem. A técnica exposta nesse plano de aula, pode ser uma delas.
