Why? All that, further protests have arisen in March, April and August 2015. Some issues are placed in this work: the recent protests in Brazil were expected? What leads a person and groups to protest? Does the amount and the quality of organizations matter? Is the institutional framework important?

A possible explanation There are several theories trying to explain why people protest. Among them, we pointed out the theory of political opportunity structure (POS), described by Eisinger in 1973, whose objective is to verify which aspects of the political system affect the ability to mobilize groups.
