But when our customers look at their application environment from a visibility and control standpoint, common challenges tend to surface in two major areas. So your challenge is that you have limited access to the content you need and limited control over important business processes, which results in a lack of visibility that keeps you from making fully informed decisions at the moment you need to. This also means the greatest potential for cost savings lies outside this managed environment. It’s the manual processes steps and all of the unmanaged content that create the biggest inefficiencies within your organization. This area also contains the greatest risk because a lack of visibility results in a lack of internal controls. Now, in a perfect world, you’d be able to expand your core business applications to quickly adapt to the needs of your business. And going back to a previous illustration, in a perfect world you’d have unlimited talent, time and treasure to make that work. There’s some research that illustrates the point: Forrester recently conducted a survey of business process professionals, and seventy nine percent of those surveyed said that the inflexibility of existing enterprise systems was their biggest challenge.
