4 Progresso Recente no Mundo
Os cristãos evangélicos crescem duas vezes mais rápido do que o Islamismo e três vezes mais rápido que o Budismo e o Hinduísmo. Nota: o Cristianismo que cresce mais rápido é o do meio pentecostal e neo-pentecostal. Os Cristãos de origem histórica (presbiterianos, batistas, metodistas etc.) crescem cerca de 1,4% ao ano. Os evangélicos são definidos como amplo fluxo dos cristãos, que são filiadas a uma denominação cristã ou de movimento que ativamente evangeliza ou envia missionários. Pentecostais / carismáticos e evangélicos são subconjuntos dos maiores totais de todos os cristãos. 15 Mapeamento dos Cristãos no Norte da África, Oriente Médio e Ásia Central
Há cerca de 2 bilhões de cristãos no mundo de hoje. Apesar dos números, existem mais cristãos no mundo, mas nesta região predomina a população muçulmana. Em média, a Ásia Central tem o maior percentual na amostra considerada, a cerca de 7,1%, seguido pelo Oriente Médio. Source: OW.

NORTH AFRICA Egito está à frente com cerca de 12,98% de sua população cristã. Desse percentual, 2,50% são evangélicos. Source: OW.

Oriente Médio No Oriente Médio, o Líbano conta com aproximadamente 32% de Cristiãos, acima da média da região, que é de 6,8% Source: OW.

Oriente Médio II Nessa região tanto Bahrein e Qatar têm aproximadamente 10% dos cristãos, seguido dos Emirados Árabes Unidos, com 9,25%, muito acima do que a média da região, de 6,5 %. Source: OW.

CENTRAL ASIA Na região da Ásia Central, em média, 7,1% da população é cristã. Apenas o Cazaquistão e o Quirguistão estão acima da média, com 24,66% e 7,83%, respectivamente. Source: OW.
